Social & Emotional Support
At Dobwalls, we recognise that many of our children require social and emotional support. This could be due to a range of reasons: a sudden change in personal circumstances, diagnosis of Autism, bereavement, parental break-ups, mental health, behaviour difficulties, struggles with friendship groups, anxiety and more. Children need to learn who they are and how the world works by forming relationships with people and things around them. We believe the quality of a child's relationship with significant adults is vital to their healthy development and emotional health.
How we can support children:
- Art therapy activities - draw and talk
- Trauma Informed Schools Activities (known as TIS)
- Individualised support programme
- Sensory activities
- Lego Therapy
- Culinary Therapy
- Social Skills Group
- Grief Awareness Champions
